hotperlita:

i love going out to eat, its probably one of my favorite things to do.  I am constantly on yelp.com or menupages.com on either my phone or my macbook. hopefully if i get hired soon ( crosses fingers ) i will be able to try out this list.  I picked out what looked best on blogs and sites according to reviews and photos.

1. Calexico

— locations, 24th street & bway (manhattan) ,greenpoint & redhook (brooklyn).

I love mexican food and the menu looks awesome!

2. Clinton St. Baking

3.  Maharlika

— location, E 12th street & 1st ave

Filipino food, why not? i have never tried it but i have heard such amazing things about it.  The spices, condiments and most importantly the culture of the food makes me what to try it.

4.  Hill Country

— location, 30 West 26th street

Once i was watching a show on the foodnetwork and it was all about BBQ and how its done right, from the big slices of bread to the paper bags.  I didnt think there was any in nyc until i researched and found Hill Country.

5. Lombardi’s

— location, 32 spring street
